Seems pretty promising to me...

Kinja'd!!!

I've never actually played a Grid game, but Codemasters' always done a great job with their racing titles, plus a racing game where you have access to all kinds of disciplines is something I've wanted for a long time. I know such games exist already, but they're mostly simulators and, to someone who has to play on an xbox controller on a small screen PC, that's hardly ideal, while this one will have a more arcadey feel to it, feel more like a game. It'll launch for 100 bucks here in Brazil, so I may not pick it up right away, but if anyone else does, please do let me know what you think

It seems like this one will be much less about street racing and more focused on proper circuit racing, in terms of tracks, which is a very welcome change of approach IMO. The physics have never been Forza Turismo, but GRID 1 and 2 are engaging and entertaining games, so I'm looking forward to this.

I don't know, but I will probably try it out. I like Codemasters most of the time, but I don't expect to be blown away by any of the Grid games.

Didn't hear about this one! Grid games were always good but what really pissed me off in Grid 2 as the fact that they got rid of the cockpit view! Its the only one I use when I race

To be honest, in a perfect world, I'd be playing GT6 right now... :p

Dat Senna DLC though.

I'm pretty sure this one will have it back. I mean, they want to focus on the experience of professional racing, it wouldn't make sense for it not to.

As soon as I get home from University next weekend, I am setting up camp in front of the PS3 and plowing through all the new content! It's gonna be great.

I mean it really should be considering this is trying to rival big name racing games now and be more realistic sim than arcade; but you never know

Grid 2 was a bit of a disappointment coming from Grid 1 (they toned everything down quite a bit to make it more accessible) but from what they've said about Autosport it seems like they're addressing all of the complaints from 2. In fact, they actually admitted "that we made a few decisions that perhaps we shouldn't have, and perhaps moved some of the aspects of the game too far away from our core fanbase" and I applaud them for that. It really seems like they're going back the series' roots.

I can't wait.

A car list which includes V8 Supercars, V8 Utes, EuroV8s, WTCC/BTCC NGTCs, Brazil Stock Cars, as well as Group A cars and Mini Cups... is there any question?

And that's only the touring cars...

As has been said, Codemasters have put a lot of fears to rest this time around and publicly admitted their mistakes. This should be a classic.

Lucky Bastard :p Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out how to replace every single car in GTA SA (which I've yet to finish after it ate my save) with their real life counterparts.

SimracingTV or whatever their name is say that it is more realistic than Gran Turismo so I'm probably going to pick it up.

Realism is cool, but I think I still need an arcade side to racing games, as I don't have the kind of gear that would go well with extreme realism
